Assassination in Turkey

ANKARA (own report) The university lecturer Necmit Hablemitoglu, author of several publications on German influence in Turkey, was shot on 18th December. The victim had accused the German Secret Sevice (BND) of subversive activities and had collected evidence of co-operation between the secret service and several German political institutes. The institutes maintain subsidiary activities in Turkey and are driving forward the ,,europeanisation"of the country. Hablemitoglu was to have appeared as principal prosecution witness in a case before the Turkish State Security Court, listed for December 26.

The murder is the latest high point in a series of unscrupulous attempts to bring a halt to investigations of four German foundations and their presumed partners in the German intelligence community. Previously the appointed prosecutor, who had pursued the case vigorously, was discredited by compromising private photographs and removed from the case.

Hegemony through Subversion...

The investigations by the State Prosecutor were brought against the ,,Konrad Adenauer Foundation"(Christian Democrat), the ,,Friedrich Naumann Foundation"(Free Democrats), the Social Democrat ,,Friedrich Ebert Foundation"and the ,,Heinrich Boell Foundation"(Green Party/League 90). These intitutes of political parties are financed with millions of German taxpayers' money. They were accused of ,,membership of a secret, illegal conspiracy"(Geheimbuendelei) and with ,,undermining the Turkish National State". The dismissed prosecutor wished to bring evidence that the German political foundations were complicit in the activities of anti Turkish irredentists to bring in measures to subvert Turkish sovereignty under the guise of ,,Regionalisation".

... and by physical force

Similar accusations have been made against the German secret service (BND) and German political institutes in several other countries (for example in France). Up to now Berlin has succeeded in covering this up and avoidng a great sensation. In spite of massive diplomatic pressure applied to Turkey by the German government, it seems now to require physical methods to keep the process going.

Trading on their own Account

Since 1991, German institutes and cross-border associations have been active in all European states under the pretext of humanitarian, cultural or social concerns. Thereby they took pressure off corresponding front organisations of the USA which had carried on similar cross-border economic and political work until German reunification. Prior to that, subversive ,,Europe work"was carried on under the auspices of the CIA by structures within practically all of the West German political parties. These experiences will now be used for work on German's own account.

Boell of the ,,Boell Foundation"

Although the exemplary ,,storm troop"intelligence and political work of German activists has been known for years and several publications list the names of prominent German citizens (as for example, the German writer Heirich Boell), clear acknowledgment of the German-American co-operation 1)in this field has generally been silenced.
