BERLIN (Own report) |

BERLIN (Own report) The German media's revisionist revaluation of the Nazi dictatorship has reached new heights and now includes and ,,empathy"for Adolf Hitler. Apparently Hitler can now be regarded as possibly having similar historical significance to the Prussian Frederick the Great - according to the Berlin press. This praise for the mass murderer has been prompted by the release of a film about the final days of the Fuehrer which he spent with his entourage in the Berlin bunker at the end of the war. The film ,,The Fall"cost 13.5m Euros and was part financed by the Bavarian State Film Corporation. The German television rights have been bought by ARD. The producer Bruno Ganz has said about the film: ,,The living Hitler before 1945 is different from the dead Hitler after 1945 - he was created by posterity". The undisguised revision of German history has been accompanied by the honouring of Nazi collaborators in several East European States. more…

BERLIN Germany and the European Union must depend increasingly on energy imports. Berlin views the ,,geopolitical consequences"of this dependence on energy resources in other nations as of the ,,utmost strategic importance"for its ambitions as a world power. For that reason, Germany has been urging for some time that the EU engage in joint activities to assert political power. German government advisors leave no doubt that Berlin and Brussels will also have to adjust to using armed conflicts in the drive for diminishing energy sources in this ,,intensifying economic and political competition for power." more…

BONN/PALAC LEHNDORFFOW (Own Report) |

BONN/PALAC LEHNDORFFOW (Own Report) A German foundation plans to restore the manors of former nobles (Junker) in Poland and has requested several millions in tax funds. The German head of state is the ,,patron"of this alleged private organization whose membership consists of important members of German economic circles and the aristocracy. The planned Polish branch will also receive a noble name. The foundation bears the name of the countess Marion Graefin von Doenhoff, who had ,,special connections"to German foreign espionage. One object, chosen for restoration, was part of her family's aristocratic properties and served as the residence of National Socialist Foreign Minister Ribbentrop until 1944. The board chairman explained to this editor that the foundation recruits German ,,expellees"to participate in the restorations in Poland. more…

BERLIN/FARNBOROUGH |

BERLIN/FARNBOROUGH The German-French arms conglomerate, EADS, wants to cooperate with US corporations in the development of a world-wide rocket-defense-system. With this cooperation, the German side specifically connects its demand for a ,,technology transfer"which it has demanded for decades. Berlin expects the United States to open access to its technologies and programs to the European armaments industry, since that knowledge will reduce Europe's military-technological backwardness vis-à-vis the USA. This participation is supposed to enable the development of the necessary technology for its own space-weapons systems. more…
